I was asked to do some creatures to go all over the Namao, a research ship that docks in the Gimli Harbour!

I was super excited, as love all of these types of creatures and everything to do with nature and research here in Manitoba. I worked with the folks at Lake Winnipeg Research to figure out the species and layout, and Valerii from Iqonic Design installed everything for us!

We have Sturgeon of course, since that is what the ship is named after! Some of the other fish featured are Walleye, Cisco, and groups of Emerald Shiners. The little creatures that are on the boat are Copepods, Caddisfly Larvae and Mayfly Larvae! Also can't forget the Pelican, a bird you'll for sure see if you go out to the Harbour in warm weather.

I'm honoured to be a part of another project that showcases our species here in Manitoba!
